Why Join CoLab NYC?

CoLab NYC is a shared work environment where people and ministries meet, work, network, share ideas and collaborate. With over 17,000 square feet of space located Nyack College's Manhattan Campus, in the heart of downtown Manhattan, CoLab NYC fosters an entrepreneurial environment from many different ministries and areas of expertise. It is a cost-effective way for like-minded, nonprofit organizations to impact one of the most influential cities in the world for the gospel.

Metro New York City is 20 million people strong, representing 1/360 of the planet’s population. It is arguably the most influential region in human history as a center for finances, art, media, culture, and religion. It is home to St Patrick’s Cathedral, 7100 Evangelical/Pentecostal churches, and home to 5/9 most populous Muslim counties in America.

The sheer density of Manhattan with 1.5 million people commuting into Manhattan Monday-Friday creates a dynamic of 250,000 people per square mile during the work week. Manhattan is arguably the most influential island in human history. More than a trillion dollars is traded from Manhattan every day. The economic disparity in New York City is one of the greatest in the world — between the super-rich and the extremely poor. From a faith perspective there is an inverse relationship between affluence and spiritual receptivity.

“There has never been a more strategic or significant moment in New York City’s 400 year history to have a robust, collaborative center by the Body of Christ to impact this leading global city. The tragic reality is that there is not a single dedicated, long term space in Manhattan for evangelical agencies to office and collaborate.””
